As not only do you have NOTHING in focuse stopped down a couple with macro but your hand held shutter speed rule in macro also goes out the window. Shooting a 60th of a second with a 60 macro gives you nothing. And 125th still leaves you fuzzy. A flash gives you phantasmagorical in effect shutter speeds and you get to stop down to 11 or 16 and get a thicker sliver. Both very much needed. Put it on a TTL cord and go to down.
