Hi Nathan, That's true given the number of people over the years who've told me "you are lucky being a photographer you can do it until you're a 100! And obviously stay out of war zones. :-) How about a couple of these that could shorten the shooting life span? 1/Hit by a flying wheel off a stock car during a race. First question when I came to in the ambulance? "How are my cameras?" 2/ Shooting from inside stock cars during a race as a passenger photographer. Several times including one good crash. 3/ Covering a CFL football game and end up lying on your back after being hit by three defensive players and the ball carrier! 4/ During a parachute jump? 5/ A hockey game shooting from the unscreened area of the penalty box and hit by a puck. That one really hurt! :-( 6/ Thrown over board on a tourism shoot when the driver put full throttle on, made a hard turn! Me and cameras OOPS! Gone! 7/ Calgary stampede being knocked flying by a bucking horse and rider. "How are my cameras once again?" However my goal is to be doing it until I'm 100. Should be easy as long as I use auto everything cameras and the one good eye still works! :-) Cheers, ted
