Waitwaitwait... You have to send a macbook into a service depot to replace the BATTERY? That's... I've had half a dozen PC laptops and not one of them required so much as a screwdriver for a battery change. I carry, as a matter of routine, multiple batteries for each of of the laptops I use now; changing a discharged pack for a fully charged one takes less than a minute, most of which involves dropping into "suspend to disk" so I don't have to shut down working programs. Why the hell would anyone buy a portable computer that couldn't switch batteries? -- R.
