But here's a couple of things. Nit picking maybe but what I feel might be an improvement even as minor as they are. Obviously and always "Others may not agree!" >>>>> http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/skalte/-1-5.jpg.html <<<<<<<<< Positive: Interesting angle, the verticals are straight without any picture spoiling tilts. Quite easily to happen with 21mm lens, certainly at this angle. Which points up excellent camera handling to avoid tilting. Negative: Minor nit picking -- This would entail probably lying on the road at similar angle but closer to the big end of the horn to accent it more and visually making the horn look even longer. Not only that, make it, maybe?? a more interesting photo? Even at this angle I'd have tightened the cropping at the bottom eliminating some of the open space. >>>>>>http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/skalte/-1-4.jpg.html<<<<<<<<< Positive:? OK you moved closer and the angle is---- "somewhat better." but leans more to file 13 delete! :-( Because you cut off part of the horn eliminating the uniqueness of the instrument..... It's length! Now it's too tight! :-( Negative: You chopped off the bulb of the horn!!! What were you thinking? I know tighter image! But you spoiled the angle you had seen in the previous photo. Imagine a photograph of Louis Armstrong with the front end of his trumpet chopped off while he was playing??? Never happen! Look at the two women passing right behind his head and hat..... A complete distraction! Could you see this coming as you shot the picture???? Not likely, possibly? But in editing you just delete it unfortunately. Don't even think of putting in a cabinet for 6 month hoping for improvement, I've emotionally tried it and it doesn't work. :-( Just bite the bullet and delete! :-( The women are in such a distracting location combined with the hat your eye goes directly there because everything points up towards them! You can't miss this first! Or if you did see them as you went "click!" and reacted accordingly, that is if you noticed. One doesn't always, no matter whom they are or think they are? Your immediate reaction should've been.. "Damn!" And shot again without people. I hope this critique helps, and please take no personal offence as it's about the photographs. Thank you. Dr. ted
