I saw you after writing the post you traded in a M7 for an M8; But you had other M's still left over laying around. So if you wanted to shoot the tree in your back yard with both film and digital blow them both up and put them side by side next to each other on the wall you'd have that option. I'm sorry but on the internet I cringe when I hear the same kinds of things over and over again. Such as: "I traded my M7 for an m8, a much better camera". If you loose a piece of gear which has worked for you for years by trading it in for an unknown: And you only then have the second camera so you can only make a much less valid comparison: It all becomes a bunch of internet babble. And I'm not by the way rooting for the M7 over the M8 or the other way around. I have no preference. Maybe I'd take the M8 over the M7 if they were offered to me. I still have by two M6's and a complete set of mainly current Leica glass to put on them plus a modest LTM setup.
