All of this fellow's radios had been electrically restored, with new caps, tubes all in spec, fresh alignment, new wiring, etc. J -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net at leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Jim Nichols Sent: Wednesday, June 03, 2009 11:07 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] PESO: All Radios Work Jim, Very nice tones, as your work usually is. I had one of those little Bakelite Philcos when I was in college in the late 40s. I'm amazed that they all work, because I have some old ones in my attic in which the circuitry has not held up well after 50 or 60 years. Age is rough on capacitors. I guess attic temps don't help, either. Perhaps these guys refurb them.
