Smaller, probably, and simpler joints. Likewise a hand saw rather than appropriate power tools. With a hand saw I'd make a smaller, simpler house. Or make a dog house instead. Would we even have as many D-Day photos if Capa had been using a TLR or Graflex? Would 'Moonrise' or 'Mt. Williamson' or 'Aspens, northern New Mexico' be great without the rich detail and tonality that a big piece of film and good technique allows? It's not the camera, it's not the photographer, it's not the subject, it's not the light, geometry of composition or historical context or any other single factor. It's how they all came together in varying degrees for a particular few moments of time. Remove or change any one of these factors and the photograph will be different. Will it still be "great"? Define "great".
