They push me toward resolution, but, more importantly, they help me learn. Yes, it's been in storage for many years. I've been activating the shutter repeatedly at all speeds, and it seems to function better the more I do it. When I started exercising it at first, the mirror went up and stayed up with every shutter release. It still does it now, but only occasionally. If it does, it falls back into place within the first 5mm of my pull on the film advance lever... The first roll I ran through it featured the prominent black bands on virtually every shot. Now, I actually get many full frames or almost full with just a sliver of a black band. And, then, there's the difficulty with rewinding and the resetting of the film counter, which I didn't mention earlier. In short, the direction this seems to moving is toward a CLA. Again, thank you for your input...
