I don't care if it can control the aperture, just sense it and meter wide open. What more could one ask for aside from full compatiblity? It's interesting to note the construction of many newer R lenses includes an aperture ring / mount module that may be removed with (usually) four screws. The only moving part connecting this module and the rest of the lens is an aperture control lever. Suppose this module could be replaced with an electronic control module?
