It has a kind of "classic look of the olden days." And the tiny simple catch light in each eye gives the child the warmth of life! Wonderful. You know, I don't think you need to "confess" you used PS to tidy away the chocolate at the corner of her mouth. That's nobodies business other than yours as the photographer. It's corrected as it should be in your eyes, therefore no need to say anything. By admitting you did this, there are viewers who could make some stupid negative comment about using Pshop! Look at it this way. "To hell with them, what they don't know wont hurt them! Besides you've done it so well no one can see where you cleaned up anyway. Therefore? Let the photograph stand as it's seen, a beautiful portrait of a sweet young lady! And shot at 1600? It's beautiful! If it took a setting of ASA 1600 to capture this moment, so be it! And who cares? It's a beautiful moment even if it were at 100, 1600 or 3200! It's the end product that counts and you have shown an excellent photograph. The frantic ASA types where everything must be as slow as possible ASA rating, my response is as usual. "get stuffed, look at the end product!" Obviously if it were possible to shoot at ASA 100 or any slower rating, I know you'd have used the slower rating as anyone of us would. The bottom line is.... get the picture at the best ASA that ensures the successful captured moment! It's called. "KISS!" Cheers, Dr. ted. :-)
