I have just taken delivery of a M8, new and black from a well-known reputable dealer in Inverness. The delivery included two 4GB SDHC cards (Lexar). I updated the firmware to 2.002 by means of a 1GB Panasocic card (only 5EUR here in Sarajevo). And then I really was looking forward to getting the same kick as for instance Nathan has reported over and documented so well. But this far I am not entirely happy with the performance of my M8. I have been reading the manual and tried my best to apply the advice on setting the menu functions but the camera seems determined to stick to the default settings only. When reading photos (only JPEG until now!) to the 4GB cards, the LED turns 'white-striped' but not so when I am using the 1 GB card. After a while the LED becomes 'normal' and in 'Play' the photos look OK but not more than that. Is the update not completed? Sorry for taking your time on what may sound like stupid and simple things. But I would really like to know if anybody has had similar experiences and what are your suggestions as regards overcoming such issues? Thanks, Mads
