You have seen several photos from these trips up to the eastern edge of Yellowstone Park. I decided that I should show you what the country looks like, so the photos that follow are from those days. Sunday, when we skied, we could hear wolves howling, dramatic! The first is what the ski trail looks like near the East Gate of Yellowstone. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Lee/ski+landscapes/skiing/ski+trail.jpg.html The trail runs along a small stream, which I believe is most beautiful. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Lee/ski+landscapes/skiing/middlefork+snow.jpg.html When my wife saw this photo she decided it should be cropped. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Lee/ski+landscapes/skiing/middlefork+crop.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Lee/ski+landscapes/skiing/Shoshone+River+in+snow.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Lee/ski+landscapes/skiing/ski+stream.jpg.html Last night's paper said that wolves may have killed the foxes that were hanging around Pahaska. One of these foxes was the subject of my photo, fox in the snow. On the way home from skiing an SUV passed and on the back of this vehicle was what looked like one of the foxes. Was the driver one of the wolves the newspaper mentioned? This photo was a grab shot through the windshield and therefore is not up to the Summilux's usual quality. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Lee/ski+landscapes/dead+fox.jpg.html Hope you enjoy and I apologize for the length of this email.
