Truly some of the best views in the world and the food is fabulous especially if you tastes run to fresh produce and seafood. First up is a view looking south from a turn out on 1 north of San Francisco. < http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW2009/Week+5/Hgwy+1+Marin+County.jpg.html > Second is a view north from the top of a Civil War era fort under the Golden Gate. The human figure is a civil war re-enactor looking north. < http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW2009/Week+5/human+scale.jpg.html > Third is an IR view of an old growth Redwood Grove. In certain climates Redwoods are like johnson grass, they grow everywhere; but you have to walk among the really old groves to respect the efforts to save these now rare spots on the coast. < http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW2009/Week+5/IR+Grove.jpg.html > Fourth is a view of Pigeon Point Light House. < http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW2009/Week+5/pigeon+point+LtHs.jpg.html > Fifth is a view looking south toward San Francisco of some picnickers on top of the same civil war fort. < http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW2009/Week+5/picnic+with+a+view.jpg.html > Enjoy these few shots and be thankful that I didn't put up the other two thousand shots. This coastline is truly spectacular. -- Don don.dory@gmail.com
