Not really.....

You can have lots of bits, but if the noise and the accuracy of those extra
bits is garbage, your results are no better.

I sold Data Converters for 30 years....   It is all specmanship.....

Nah, whatever it is, it's probably not those last 2 bits of the ADC
converter. The first 10 bits are the most important ones.... the next 2
are
the ones that make it go from very good to wow. The next two... not so
much.
