As is usual, some subtleties of expression and personalities act to evolve the discussion. I'm unfamiliar with a number of the mentioned photographers. As some might recall I was just in Yosemite and also visited the Ansell Adams gallery there, purchasing a print by one of Ansell's assistants, made from his negative. I was really privileged to be in the valley when the first winter snow fell. For me all of the philosophy and discussion is insignificant compared to being in that magnificent place, sharing some of the light used so masterfully by Ansel. I don't know how anyone with a photographic soul could be unmoved. Revel in the wild beauty of such a place. I shall share some photographs I made as I get an opportunity to catch up here. At least one will go to Jim for the Yearbook. My very best wishes for the holiday season to all of my LUG friends. Hasn't this opened up into a wonderful reflection on the history of our beloved art and craft. Thanks Bob - very cool addition.
