>> One conclusion, we who didn't attend might make, is Tricia was the most
favored subject to photograph.<<

Well if she wasn't the most favored subject she certainly was the most
favorite wine Mistress at pouring! :-)

However she was certainly the centre of attraction for many of the key
pictures.:-) Particularly Leica stacking as you can see in the Gallery.

And guess what? She had just graduated in completing a photography course
and had absolutely no idea she was going to be mingling with the great Leica
photographers of the world! :-) Those of the LUG! :-) Of course she was
thrilled with all those Leicas piled high on the bar! :-) See pictures.

This wasn't a small gathering of Leica Users, this was an incredible
gathering of LUG guys and their wives that was an absolute smashing event!
:-)

The location, of course selected by the Master of Saloon Keepers, Brian
Reid, Himself! It was right out of this world exotic! Palm trees, sea lions
barking in the back ground, the lapping of waves against the sides of our
diner. With the odd gentle rolling from the waves. :-) But then the wine
helped keep us all on an even keel! :-)

The setting was amazing right out in the San Francisco harbour.so OK it was
a 3 minute ferry ride. :-) See photo! :-) But there were life vests for all.

The food was excellent, if possible? It was even better than that.

But without question, the highlights of the evening were the face to face
smiles and warm hand shakes between friends from the screen to real life
time of the moment! To some degree we are all family of the LUG on screen,
many of us will never have the pleasure of meeting in real time and that's
unfortunate as it's like meeting a long lost brother or sister.

However, each time over the years I've had the pleasure of face to face
meeting the on screen name with a real live human, it's a very enjoyable
experience. As it was Saturday evening.

Last but not least, one must offer a great big thank you to Brian for
putting this gathering together in such a masterful manner. Well done mon
ami, well done! Good on you!

Cheers,

ted
