Leica has not made any R advances on the digital front since 2005, so let's give us R folks a turn at bat. Just because you want a new M does not mean us R people should wait any longer. The DMR had a very limited production run and if one wanted to use the R lenses on a genuine Leica, it would be very hard to find a DMR. At least the M people have an actual production camera at their call. I suggest that the DMR is in many ways like the M8 is to you. It took some compromises that many did not like, such as the physical size and the same 1.33 crop factor that you complain about. So, I think it is the R user's turn in line to see what the next generation brings. In a small company like Leica, they undoubtedly need to rotate through their products when they upgrade.
