Frank, you've certainly nailed it.
The current crop of better cameras are all impressive in their own  
rights.

Yet, these types of discussions need some context.
Most of us look at far more images on the web, or in print magazines  
than actual prints.
Many of the subtle "image qualities" that some of us appreciate can  
only be viewed in high quality prints
(or high magnification screen representations of RAW files).

While I love Leica, I'd also love to be able to achieve the same  
image quality without selling the grandchild.
I have high hopes for the 5DII to produce files as good as or better  
than the DMR. We'll see.
