Makes Texas' counties look dinky :-) Large in area at least. But several counties here in NM have populations of fewer than 3,000 people. One (Harding Co.) had only 833 residents in the 2000 census. Our statewide population density in 2000 was 15 persons per sq. mile (5.74 persons per sq. km.). In Manhattan, NY it was 66,940/sq. mi. in 2006.! -- Phil Swango 307 Aliso Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108 505-262-4085
