Sonny,

I'm sure you know by now that cats absolutely ignore anything specially 
bought for them - except all kinds of food and the litter tray.

Posy never once used her basket or that platform thingy on a pole wound 
around with rope.

She picked out an old stool as her scratching post and thankfully keeps 
her claws sheathed for everything else.
