Subject: [Leica] a serious question

They do compete & win in those categories. 
BUT, they can't compete with sales. Low ball price point is the extreme
end of the spectrum which shouldn't be brought into the discussion.
This is no Canon EOS Rebel kit, we all know that. But upwards of $8k to
use a camera (let's speak of the M8)? I'd love to shoot an M8, but
Leica loses me with the price, and so they lose many thousands of other
people like me. They reuse to grasp the market that they could and so
we use other systems simply due to the price. (I won't even get into
the band-aids that make the M8 really work well.)

for ergonomics? they compete and win
for beautiful product design? they compete and win
