Can you tell what it's photo of or is it too dark and/or grainy? http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/tinamanley/61853_080829_50211.jpg.html <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/tinamanley/61853_080829_50211.jpg.html%3c% 3c%3c> <<< Hi Tina, Mixed emotions? On the one hand we're looking at this on screen which at anytime isn't the best place to look at grain. However, in this case "grain" would be of little concern for me considering where you made the exposure with such little light and pushing the film to 6400! One would almost say "Grain? Who cares, look at the over all feeling in the photograph by such little light these people live their lives and do their cooking. And here's an image to prove it! I'd much rather have the photograph illustrating the life feeling, than some blown away mickey mouse twinky light flash picture that any moron can shoot on auto everything settings. It's the mood that counts, not the techie stuff within reason. By the same token I think this kind of image in print would be much better to make a judgment call for adjustments rather than on screen. It looks like it "could" use a touch of curves? Or whatever "lightning" method you use to slightly open it up in the dark areas. Not much! Tiny! Probably more by trial and error, then print to see the results before making a final decision for the end result of a magical B&W print and photograph. ted
