Steve,

Have you compared the dual range Summicron that you had modified with 
the Summilux ASPH on the M8?  I seem to remember the LUG maintaining 
that the dual range Summicron was the best.  I have a dual range 
Summicron, but do not know whether it would be reasonable to modify 
it.  I think that the 50 Summilux ASPH is the most amazing lens I have.
