As I was going through the approximately 1000 pre-2000 images, I was also thinking about how I have evolved. Clearly, 1998 was a pivotal year for my photography. That spring, I bought my first Leica, an M6 with a 35mm Summicron. But I think more important is the fact that the same year I joined the LUG and met, initially in cyberspace, later in person, many great photographers and great people who have inspired me and challenged me to focus (pun intended) and improve. As I look through the images, I see that until the late 90s, I photographed a lot of different things, in a somewhat haphazard manner. Since then, I feel that I have developed my style, which I apply whether walking around Alicante or travelling somewhere. And that is thanks to the feedback here on the LUG more than anything else.
