Thanks Tina for pointing out LR 2.0's new offline archive management
capability.... That was something I absolutely need and had kept me from
considering Lightroom up til now. Wade had written me earlier saying that it
was never going to happen. I'm thrilled they reconsidered.

If you use and embed keywords into your photos... Lightroom provides the
easiest and best way of finding images of any of the software I've seen.
The whole metada filter system is really the benchmark for all future
systems. It will show you all of the keywords for images in a chosen
folder... (which is helpful when you mispell a keyword and don't catch it)
including subfolders, if you choose that option... When you choose a
keyword, it will immediately show you all of the files with that embedded in
it, and you can do that at multiple levels.

I like that you can also look at all images in a folder and it's subfolders
(if you choose that option)... which is wonderful for people who sort things
into many levels of subfolders. I have a network drive that someone went
folder happy on... Drives me batty....

I will probably still use Photoshop for alll of my editing... perhaps Bridge
applying my metadata templates... but I'm buying LR 2.0 for finding photos...
