Or configuration of prism? This is wafting by everybody like the emperors new cloths on parade. "FORMAT" is the size of the film. PERIOD! And discussions of if the film is roll film or sheet film can get into it maybe in a pinch. But how that image is projected into that format in its crop circle is a topic for another conversation. Another class. Another day. And will appear on another test. The 4/3's format is a bust because I'm not the only one harping on the LUG that for less acreage you want a smaller camera; not bigger. Its no doubt reached its market plateau fast. What if back in the day the Olympus Pen F came out and it was the size of a Pentax 67 - do you think they'd have sold a bunch of them? Wow 72 on a roll that's why the camera is so big! Ok I exaggerate just a tad. So now they're going to get their act together and come out with cameras which reflect the size of the format. Which is half frame of half frame. But do they have to say its a different format to keep from looking stupid when those bodies finally come out? Might stop some of the people who bought some of those clunkers bigger than the average 1.5 crop DSLR with half the format size from getting all red faced and steam shooting out of their ears. So that they then go out and buy it. And they have two 4/3's cameras. One twice the size of the other. And not feel ever so slightly taken. Like their pocket had not been PICKED. FLEECED out of their hard earned pocket change. mark@rabinergroup.com Mark William Rabiner
