I left my leica on a train
my apo sat outside in the rain
in the overhead compartment, my leicavit remained
my kit will never be the same

I've been there too... left an FE with 43-86 in a hotel, stolen (this  
probably helped subsequent image quality more than I realized), but  
the nearly new Nikon 500 mirror I left on a bus in South Africa in  
1984 still stings.
