This is authored, of course, by Ted Grant and Sandy Carter. This is a sensitive and important document, sampling what is obviously an enormous contribution to society. More than that, Ted and Sandy provide a Photographers' Supplement. These notes point to a selection of the photographs that perfectly illustrate learning points for every aspiring photographer. My own local 'woman in medicine' commented on both the empathy of the story and the inspiring quality of the photography. In short, this is a truly impressive and valuable work. If you haven't seen it, I recommend that you fire off an e-mail to Ted right away. You'll be pleased you did.<<<<<< Hi Geoff, Thank you for your kind remarks good Sir. A great deal of effort went into this book illustrating women in medicine who rarely get the credit for what they do. It's a wonderful collaboration of two photographers shooting the same "subject" in different hospitals in different cities and not being able to tell who shot which pictures looking at the photographs. Yes it does say who did what on the "photo credit" page. Looking at them and guessing? Let's put it this way, not one photographer in more than 25 have picked ten images in a row and been right guessing who shot them. It's all Leica at it's available light best! :-) The "Photographers' Supplement" was written to answer hundreds of questions from photographers about how we shot it, why we shot the pictures and what was the motivating factor in tripping the shutter? The results of this book isn't just a tribute to the women in medicine, it's a wonderful photography learning book, not just a bunch of "pretty pictures." And not an f stop mentioned in the lot! :-)Just plain good old fashion "how to & why" to make good photographs. Pure KISS simple. Thanks again for your kind comments and those of your own local 'woman in medicine' doctor wife. :-) ted
