The book is great even if the reproduction isn't absolutely top-notch. It startles me, however, that my own diet looks more like that of someone from a 'developing' country than the 'developed' countries that are shown here. I'm always interested in dietary references - and there are plenty on the LuG. My biological research suggests that Western societies are less and less connected to their environment and sources of production (buy ironically, more prepared to preserve it as an abstract concept); this is more evidence to support that. If this really is representative, we are eating our way to a very unhealthy future for ourselves.
