My backup for my M8 is another M8. The backup for that one is an M7. The backup for my Canon 5D is the Canon 1DMII, but I avoid carrying those two as long as the M8 will do the job and 99% of the time, it will. I have maybe twice accidently moved the camera to "Timed" release. As soon as I realized it, I turned it off and on and everything was fine. I don't use it at very high ISOs because that's not the best use of the M8. My Canon lenses are not as good as my Leica lenses and I much prefer a rangefinder to an SLR. That's why I use an M8. I had problems in Iraq with every camera because of the fine, fine dust blowing everywhere. Digital is much worse than film where dust is concerned. Tina Tina Manley www.tinamanley.com
