If I recall correctly Marc James Small says they they came up with it with Zeiss. They had it appear on the market a year ahead of Zeiss for some reason. They came out with T* glass. Which I'm very involved with. I love the sound of "T*". But "Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMAR " is a four course meal! Mark William Rabiner markrabiner.com
