Boot Camp will run faster than Windows on Parallels on OS X because a couple of layers of indirection have been removed. Running Boot Camp is pretty much like running XP on top of the raw hardware. Windows must be installed on a separate disk partition for Boot Camp. Boot Camp essentially provides a dual boot capability. Remember that the new Macs are simply Intel based PCs with a prettier box and a slightly higher price tag. Parallels can then run the copy of Windows in the separate partition in a window under OS X -- but more slowly. Bottom line - you need Boot Camp if you have an aversion to OS X or you want to run Windows faster. I think we are drifting a tad off topic, so to get back on track - has anyone tried to install OS X on an M8? The M8 menus are kinda ugly and can do with some dressing up.
