When I was a child in the 1930s, living in an old farmhouse on a family farm in Mississippi, the flowers that I knew were those that were obtained from friends and neighbors as cuttings or volunteer plants surrounding older plantings. I presume that is how this original snowball bush came to be there. Thirty years later, after the house was long gone, my wife brought an off-shoot of the bush to our home in Tennessee. After having been moved around our back yard several times to find a location where it could prosper, it finally found a happy home and has really presented us with blooms this year. Nursery stock, planted a few feet away, has been really disappointing. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Old+Fashioned+Snowball.jpg.html C&C appreciated. Jim Nichols Tullahoma, TN USA
