If one chooses to understand and or teach Photography and the seeing of Photographs - the digital work flow allows extremely intensive study of these. Just as non linear digital video allows for extremely intensive study of motion pictures. While processing film, with intensive study of the relationship of exposure to development as they relate to tonal control; and the fine art of printing with silver paper and chemicals are wonderful crafts; they have little to do with what a Photographer chooses to photograph, how they see or use light, compose the frame, etc. Fond regards, George george@imagist.com www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog Picture A Week - www.imagist.com/paw_07 On Mar 12, 2008, at 10:29 AM, Chris Saganich wrote: > From an extension of vision framework photoshop is easy, a bit of > dodge, little contrast etc but it doesn't add anything to the > understanding of photography or to the seeing of photographs.
