Subject: [Leica] No M9 in the near future

They still have not mentioned whether an M8.2 will be available, i.e. 
an M8 with the "improved" shutter and the new LCD glass. It makes 
sense that when the stock of the current shutter runs out, then they 
may as well switch to the new one, but then what is the pricing?

They are really in a bind with the upgrade program. This may make the 
current owners happy, but will definitely put a damper on the current 
sales situation. The only sane thing they can do is something like 
sell the M8.2 for less than, but not too much, the cost of the 
current M8 + the upgrade. They could drop the price later when the 
supply of M8 dries up, but when is the last time Leica ever drops the price?
