And always has, in my experience.
In 1975 I sent in my first Leica (a IIIf) for a CLA, and it took them 6
months. In 1982 (before I knew about Sherry Krauter) I sent in my CL for
some work, and it took even longer than that, including them sending it back
unrepaired the first time around. And all of my recent experiences with
sending lenses to them for repairs have been awful.
When people say that Leica cameras are expensive, they're not just talking
about money.
