Subject: [Leica] Goodbye Elmar 50 and Elmarit 90
From: leica at screengang.com (Didier Ludwig)

Just received the newsletter of a german Leica dealer, which confirms that
some Leica lenses will be discontinued:

Total abandon:
Leica Elmar-M 2,8/50mm black & chrome
Leica Elmarit-M 2,8/90mm black & chrome

Abandon of chrome versions:
Leica Summicron-M 2,0/50mm (non ASPH)
Leica Macro-Elmar-M 4,0/90mm
The chrome ASPH Summicrons 35 and 50 stay in production.

The abandon of some chrome lenses was announced earlier. The full abandon of
Elmar 50 and Elmarit 90 was to be expected after the introduction of the new
Summarit-M lenses. No words about the 75 Summilux which was also expected by
some to be discontinued.
