However, I still don't see how a middle class guy can save a company by charitible buying of their product. I already did, and you say that is not enough? Me: " Honey, we need to cut back on the groceries bill this month." Kathy: "Why, are we running a little short?" Me: "No dear, I just got a note from Jay that those poor starving Germans in Solms need for me to buy a new lens." Kathy: "Oh, my, let's cut back on the "Save the Children" pledge too; that might help." Me: " I don't know, . . well, that would cover an IR cut filter for the new lens." Kathy: "Perhaps, we could ask Eric to drop a music lesson every month. That would add up pretty fast." Me: "Darling, I knew when I first met you those twenty seven years ago that your heart is in the right place. I'll go ahead and write the check now." Kathy: "I don't think I could sleep if I knew that our foolish spending could keep Leica from moving back to their rightful home in Wetzlar from that nasty little Solms. It makes me shiver to know they have to drive fifteen minutes to the Wetzlerer Hof for lunch." Me: " You are soooo sweet. I love you." Kathy: "You are the one with a heart, I just coast on without thinking of those poor people and their bottom line. I'm so happy I have you to help me keep Leica in my thoughts." -- Regards, Sonny http://www.sonc.com Natchitoches, Louisiana USA
