But my wife (the artist) suggested that you use a black artist's acrylic latex paint rather than an ordinary latex paint. I frankly don't know what the difference is but she assures me that the acrylic latex stays flexible for years. In our local area these paints are sold in tiny 1 oz. containers by art stores for a very low price. ($0.25 USD) They are often used to paint designs on T shirts.
