I'm really enjoying the silent auction/charity work a lot. I frequently get an assignment which gives me some discipline and forces me to get out there and photograph. Right now it's a good tax deduction :) I am particularly counting my blessings today because 3 years ago I was having breathing issues and decided to go to the doctor to see if was allergies...well...he got an alarmed look on his face when my blood pressure was 205/160 and pulse was 160...and called an ambulance gave me one phone call. Thank goodness for a great cardiologist in Houston who figured it out and kept me around. Nothing like being published, whether you get paid or not. Keep on truckin' and show us some more as they "go public'. Royalty checks can happen! The foundation supports the Town Lake (now Lady Bird Johnson) trail around downtown Austin by doing projects that improve the trail. The foundation prints several thousand calendars at very high quality and sells the for $20 each. I'm truly enjoying getting assignments from various charities around town and it is a thrill for a rank amateur to get work published. Next week's assignment is "White" for a party for Lifeworks with the theme of White (everyone wears White)....hmm....that one is going to be interesting to pull off.
