Hi!

The problem with the notchy shutter on some M8's and M7's is related to the 
camera, not the Softie as such. Any release button would exhibit the same 
problem. I did have a pre-production M8 for several months last year and 
there was no problem with it. The release in the M7/M8 has a couple of 
switches that have to be activated prior to release and they can cause the 
"notchy" feel.
