Subject: [Leica] 28-35-50 Tri-Elmar discontinued

I was just searching the Leica site and could not find a listing for  
the normal Tri-Elmar. After a little more searching I found it was  
discontinued somewhere around the end of June. It seems the front  
element is no longer available. It's made from Trichloroethylene  
which I always thought was a cleaning solvent.  I expect the lens  
will be hard to find now.

I don't know if this info was originally posted. Sorry if this is old  
info.
