My daughter loves hers and has taken hundreds if not thousands of photos of her baby/toddler with it. The kit lens delivers excellent quality 4x6 photos. I don't know about the quality of larger photos 'cause she hasn't made any. I gotten great 11x14s from my isDS, haven't needed anything larger. Both the DL and DS are 6mp, the K10d is 10mp.
