I was a long hair that year. my very first LHSA meeting. Toward the end of last year though his emails stopped coming, (many of them were jokes) and in Wetzlar they announced with some other people that he had died. His wife was always fun to talk to too I wish her well. John told me he developed his film sometimes in antifreeze and I was not able to figure that out he'd go on long explanations about it which went right over my head. We had polar opposite opinions on politics and other such issues but apparently neither of us pick our friends on that. He lived on a farm I think he was an engineer and had much practical knowledge which I admired. Although the antifreeze I don't know. Tractors maybe. Tri X maybe not.
