There are really only 2 stocking dealers "up here"... the others order what
you want.  Samys ( 3 locations) and Paul's.

There are a bunch more that sometimes have Leica stuff, sometimes
not.....the non-stockists.  ( Cal's camera in Costa Mesa is one)

It is pretty hideous to find a dealer that has what you want, and allows you
to try it out.....   Samys, as I already said, refused to open the box for
me......they wanted me to buy it first.

I will give Jerry a heads up on the next Leica day.....then he can run the
M8 through its paces, un-encumbered......

Sorry to hear that.  Maybe you should take a weekend trip up North to OC or
LA area and visit the Leica Dealers up there.
