Luis glad to hear that you found the difficulty with the Epson software and
it is now behaving.
Believe me though, I have both a modern Epson flatbed (4990) and the Nikon
Coolscan V that folks recommended for you. The output
from the Nikon is very much superior (and faster). Of course for casual
scanning for low resolution pictures to post on-line the
Epson may well do everything you need. Absolutely nothing wrong with the
pictures that you show us here! The flatbeds also do some
things that the 35mm film scanner will not, such as larger negs and of
course anything from a print or text page. Mine is used
constantly for photocopying, faxing, schoolwork etc etc.

If you are relying on a scanner to produce files for printed enlargements,
then clearly you want the best that you can get.
Otherwise like using a cheap plastic lens in your slide projector to project
slides from your 90AA. If Leica made a film scanner I'd
have three of them ;-)

Cheers
Hoppy

Thanks to Hoppy, Len, Philippe (Amard), Walt, Jayanand, Steve (Unsworth),
and Tom Fenwick who has gived me the idea to look at the Previous Mode, and
marking on the Arrow to NORMAL, you can select a negative to scan.

With this solution I have no intention to use Vuescan or Silverfast, neither
to buy a Nikon Coolscanner V, why?, I'm very happy with the results on my
Epson flatbead and I'm not sure that results will be improved, I obtain a
scale of B&W tones very pleasant for me. The only reason to go to a such
film scanner could be to scann slides, with the Epson I'm not very happy,
but as you know I do very few color slides.

Thanks again to all for your kind advices and help!!!

Saludos cordiales
Luis
