Hi Luis

I face the same problems with the Epsonb softwaree and bought a license 
for Vuescan  too. I also find VS to be tedious and so slow even if the 
results may look better and can "rescue" a picture or two.
I's also be interested to know how to solve the problem. Perhaps Epson 
have updtaed their program,( my scanner is about two years old) and fare 
better better now.
