I bet it will annoy you now that I have mentioned it! I actually like 14a the best from this group. Great expressions and postures caught, obviously. There is some extra content added by the security person and spectator in the background. On the hardware side, that's a very nice niche you've found for your 50 asph on the digital body. I'm not following you on the b&w only digital M. I do recall some earlier mentions, however I don't see how advantage could be wrought. I mean you're using the information from all three channels rendered as you want regarding luminance/contrast to yield your 10Mp aren't you? Are you saying that the advantage would be a higher resolution original? But if there's no colour rendered by the sensor aren't you losing the ability to mix those channels in your RAW file as you want? Not meaning to create a controversy (and I don't have an M8)just very interested in the mechanics of this. heers Hoppy -----Original Message----- Subject: [Leica] IMG Don's PAW Week 14 in an airport again I hope everyone is enjoying this Easter day. All the images this week are from a stint in the airport. First is a joyous reunion although I think the y chromosomes have other things to think about: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW+2007/PAW+week+14/PAW+week+14a+reunion.jpg.html> Next up is the more typical mode of waiting in an airport. Everyone has their own way of passing the time: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW+2007/PAW+week+14/PAW+week+14b+waiting+on+a+jet+plane.jpg.html> Of course you know you took too much stuff when you are here: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW+2007/PAW+week+14/PAW+week+14c+waiting+for+the+suitcase.jpg.html> Last up is a very typical scene in Atlanta. Traffic is bad and when you are waiting for your ride all you can do is groove: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/PAW+2007/PAW+week+14/PAW+week13d+waiting+on+my+ride.jpg.html> All images taken with an M8 and 50ASPH. More and more I agree with Ted that color just distracts almost all the time. I need to work on SWMBO so that when Leica releases the B&W only version I can get it. Why, because then all the pixels are creating image instead of the using 3+1 to make an point. Don don.dory@gmail.com _______________________________________________
