In fact, there's a $200 tuner (Sangean) that was recommended to me from the chief engineer of a local station--he noted it was superior to the very expensive broadcast monitors of a year or two ago. As for interference, most of the stations I listen to have second HD channels, and their main FM signals sound fine. As more and more stations add HD, most older radios and stereo tuners will be neartly unlistenable because of the interference ( noise ). Several of the first HD radios have been of such poor quality that they are already in the "bargain bins" Jim Shulman <jshul@comcast.net> wrote: Before I'd buy any table radio, I'd make sure it had HD radio reception. Most radio stations are now broadcasting second (and sometimes third) channels of different audio in HD. The audio is CD-quality, and gives you a wider variety of choices. So don't get stuck investing a hundred or two in something that's on the verge of obsolescence. Any of you folks have experience with it? http://www.tivoliaudio.com/product.php?productid=139&cat=262&page=1 Peter, it looks just like the original KLH radio from the late 60s. Probably because Henry Kloss was the K in KLH. I used to have one. It sounded good for its size. There's a RS near me so I plan to give a listen to their model if possible. Somehow I doubt they're the same. -- Phil Swango 307 Aliso Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108 505-262-4085 _
