Two Ks could also buy a few plane tickets to a nice locale, hotel and dinner at a few sensational restaurants. Then you could always fund a $2K scholarship in his name in the visual arts (or whatever he's really fond of supporting.) And THEN throw in the bottle of Madeira, as you both toast your new photographs made with the Noctilux! A good friend who is no longer is a Leica fanatic has decided to permanently loan me his Noctilux. I offered to buy it, but he refused. Of course, I am very excited and overwhelmed by his generosity. What would be an appropriate gift to say thank you? I was thinking of giving him a rare bottle of madeira. You can find them dating back to 1860s, are extremely drinkable and can be found for under $400 or so. -Eric
